Richard Cooper was born on June 5, 1971, in England. His father was a Royal Air sergeant and his mother is a housewife. At 2 years old his skin was three-degree burns on his neck, chest, and arms because he pulled a bouillon oil kettle down to himself.
He stayed two months in a hospital and survived the accident. Cooper had a problem communicating in the first 15 years of his life, his parents took him to language therapy.
Career
In 2003, Richard Cooper was working as a branch manager for Equifax, the biggest credit and collection company in North America. Cooper started at this company in the early 90s as a bill collector; he worked for 10 years until he became the manager.
Cooper left the company and started his own business as a credit agent, at that time nobody was doing this business in Canada so it was a great opportunity for him. After 12 months, he hired his first employee, at the company’s peak they were making more than $300,000 a month.
